The whole team are proud to be a part of LHDP Smilecare. We believe we have a dedicated team of dental professionals who always strive to deliver exceptional care to a long list of valued patients and also to the patients of our referring dental colleagues.
We also think of every one of our patients as individuals. By taking the time to listen, we can learn all about you and ensure any treatment is tailored to suit your needs and expectations.
The dental practice was long established in Bromsgrove high street before being acquired by Graham Stokes in 1991. The practice was then rebranded Lansdowne House dental practice when it moved to its new premises in the Christmas of 1993. Now known as LHDP Smilecare it is located within a period building in which the traditional Bromgrove Guild Plasterwork is still enjoyable to view in the patient lounge. We hope you enjoy this as much as we do when you visit!
As well as creating a wonderful general dental practice, Graham also expanded our services as a referral practice in 2005, allowing us to work with other dental practices who trust us to provide added value for their own patients. They entrust their patients to us for care in the following areas: implants, root fillings, natural looking full dentures, sedation and full mouth restoration.
In December 2015 the practice welcomed Kanwar Ratra as the principal dentist, however Graham Stokes remains as our Clinical Lead as well as all our other associate dental surgeons.
Kanwar is keen to maintain the practice dynamics that Graham has created and they will continue to work together to provide treatment and care for our patients as we always have done.
With this in mind we are excited that we will soon be welcoming a periodontist to the practice too!
With the announcement from the Government of a third National lockdown we can confirm that the practice will be open as normal. There are no restrictions with regards to medical treatment and you are actively encouraged to keep your appointments. At LHDP Smilecare we have all the necessary Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and will continue to follow our high standards in cross infection control.
Please continue to attend your appointments. We have excellent infection control procedures along with a robust triaging policy to ensure the safety of both patients and staff.
If you are worried about your attendance please contact us to discuss your concerns and we can always postpone your treatment till a later date.
We continue to recommend that patients in the high-risk category delay non-essential treatment until further guidance has been given by the relevant authorities.
We advise that you wear a mask at all times while inside the dental practice and only remove your mask at the request of the dental professional. We will continue to check your temperature and if this is above 37.8C, you will be advised to rebook your treatment and to follow government guidelines. Please do not arrive more than 5 minutes early for an appointment due to social distancing guidelines.
As you enter the building you will need to use the alcohol disinfectant rub to disinfectant your hands.
The treatment rooms will be prepared prior to your appointment with all surfaces disinfected after each patient. We have sourced PPE and unlike the start of the Pandemic (March 2020 in the UK), there is no shortage.
Please do not be concerned as we continue to maintain high standards of cross infection control.
Stay safe and please contact us if you have any questions.
